hell froze over

Saw this posted on skateboardingsucks and instantaniously thought about the implications of Mr.Barley dealing with the "hold my hands while I drop in" kid.

What kind of clauses do you think those weird fucks at the groton parks and recreation department have stuffed away in the back of his contract? Dress code? Color coded codes of conduct when engaging in the act of skateboarding within the presence of minors on public or subsidized land?

3D eye-tracking on a cellphone? What does this have to do with skateboarding? Nothing.

dumb feet?

While sitting at your desk in front of your computer, lift your right foot off the floor and make clockwise circles with it.
Now, while doing this, draw the number '6' in the air with your right hand. Your foot will change direction. How ya like them apples?!!

another planet on earth

Antarctica has at least 145 small lakes buried under its ice and one large one called Vostok. Now scientists have found the second and third largest known bodies of subsurface liquid water there.

Exotic ecosystems frozen in time may thrive in the lakes, untouched for 35 million years, scientists said.

Vostok has a surface area of 5,400 square miles. One of the newfound lakes measures 770 square miles in size, or roughly the size of Rhode Island. The other is about 620 square miles.

Both sit under more than 2 miles of ice and are about a half-mile deep based on observed differences in gravity.

"Over the lakes, the pull of gravity is much weaker, so we know there must be a big hole down there," said Robin Bell, a geophysicist at the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory.

Has anyone else seen this?

Sweet spot long gone but not forgotten

Does anybody remember the Classen Tower ledges? For those of you who don't know about this place....The spot used to have ledges all around the entrances that would get skated pretty much on the regular.
I was just reminiscing the good times I had there. So many hours spent skating there. ...I met Crawdad there. All windy as hell, running from the cops, tickets, gaps, rails, marble here and there, it also had a parking garage with manny pads.......There was even a jazz club down in the underground we used to play pool and grab drinks at.

Anyways...In that one first picture you can see the start of a parking block pile in the top right side. Soon after this picture was taken, construction workers stacked all the ledges over there too. The dopest ledges in the city just staring at you, piled up way too heavy to move. I have to admit. It sucked just to drive by and catch a glance. The building has now been remodeled into up scale apartments and all the front and pretty much everything we skated has been taken out and replaced with grass and some local artwork. I preferred our art personally. None the less... Here's to one of the sickest skate spots Oklahoma City ever had.

Cheers
