an example of wonderful writing

I came across a fantastic piece of writing on Cracked.com today.
In an article about the "Worst Best-Of Albums of All Time" they had this to say while reviewing Bruce Willis' double-disc greatest hits album:

"Best Moment:

At the 2:03 mark of an up-to-that-point less-than-lively rendition of "Under the Boardwalk," Bruce unexpectedly shouts "Yipee-ki-yay mother fucker!" and launches into a searing blues rock guitar solo so goddamned awesome we gathered up all of our Hendrix CD's and torched them sons of bitches lest we be subjected to their inferior axe work ever again. Ok, we made that up, Bruce doesn't really do that. There are no good moments to be found anywhere on this CD. It's pretty damn terrible from front to back."

Damn fine writing right there, I tell you whut.

Polka dot tights guy made it out to the show. SO stoked.

As soon as it got dark they fired up the ol' light show. It was ok.

We actually didn't get to see Styx cause the show started so frick'n early we missed them. But we did catch the whole Boston set and they most definitely were on point. They played a great show. Lots of friendly drunk people wandering around and loads of hot trim. You really cant ask for more on a Wednesday night. I'll see you next time at METAL MANIA @ the Zoo / JUDAS PRIEST, MOTORHEAD & TESTAMENT on Thursday August 21st.

Therm's Belated Birthday Video

The infamous El Thermo turned 30 a little while back. In that skateboarding world, that's kind of old. So it wouldn't surprise me if  people were wondering, "Is El Thermo still ripping? He's fuckin' old." Yes, yes he is.

Well I took a bunch of clips that won't go in the new video (which may never come out) and put them together so the wonderers can see what Jeremy has been doing the past few years. And since these are just the old and/or throwaway clips, it should be apparent that he's still killing it.

Breaking News - Drowning at Lake Hefner

This just in:

A boat has washed up on the North-North East shore of Lake Hefner. I haven't been able to look at a TV but I think someone has drowned or is missing in the water. there's a whole slew of emergency officials and newspeople over there already.  Here's the shot I got from my office. I only had a chance to shoot one thru binoculars before they got taken away from me. Sorry it's a little blurry. Click to enlarge.
